MAVER R100 Reality Review - 2 Drawer Fishing Seat Box
The MAVER R100 Reality fishing seat box comes complete with a padded seat cushion to ensure your long fishing days are met with complete comfort. Unlike the entry level beginner fishing seat boxes, the cushion is incredibly thick which your bum will be thanking you for hours into your daily fish.
The simple but effective black styling will match any brand of fishing equipment whilst looking absolutely fantastic whilst on your peg. The adjustable legs and large feet will keep your seat box level especially during wet/muddy conditions.
Complete with the attached "padded" shoulder strap, carrying this lightweight fishing box will be comfortable even for longer distances.
Adjustable Legs for uneven pegs
The adjustable legs of the "Reality" seat box keeps your box completely level on uneven pegs, with each corner being independently adjustable. The black painted round legs offer additional stability with larger swivel mud feet feet to prevent sinking into softer grounds.
Adjusting the box height is easily handled using the large green and black easy grip hand wheels.
How much storage does the Maver Reality R100 have?
Lifting up the seat you will find a storage area suitable for carrying "small" additional fishing equipment. It's worth noting the top compartment is only really ideal for floats, hooks and other small pieces of terminal tackle.
Unclipping the lower half of the box reveals a large storage area which can be used for small reels, ground bait and pellets.
Located on the front of the R100 are 2 small slide our drawers for fast access to spare hooks, rigs, disgorgers - or even your mobile phone for snapping that prize winning carp.
Accessories for the Maver Reality R100 Seat Box
Like many seat boxes, you can never have enough accessories & attachments. The R100 really doesn't disappoint with many different attachments (purchased separately) available ready to screw on to the protruding round legs.
- Footplate
Keep your feet off the ground with the R100 Footplate attachment. The footplate attaches directly to the front legs of the seat box and is coloured in the same black and green style.
The footplate has 2 independent legs which themselves can be adjusted to ensure your feet are level on even pegs.
- Maver Side Tray
No fishing box is complete without a side tray. The maver side tray attaches to the two upper legs of the seat box allowing you fully control the height. Most side trays are the same, but what I really like about this side tray is the outside bracket for more attachments (umbrella / rod rest etc).
- Bait Bowl Attachment
Attaching to the legs of your box, attaching a bait box will give you quick access to ground bait / pellets ready to feed your swim. Like all attachments, the bait bucket attaches to the raised legs of the box.
Final Thoughts & Where to buy
As far as seat boxes go, I really like this seat box. The design is simple, has multiple storage options and a list of accessories ready for me to take on the next match. I am a huge fan of the black and green maver colours, and with matching accessories, makes me feel like a rockstar!
At under £200 (price correct at September 2022) this is a great 2 drawer fishing box. The Maver Reality (R100) is fairly light weight under 1000g, which is good for transporting to and from to your fishing peg.
